The Barakaldesa communist group, which had a large group of affiliates but a minority compared to the socialist group, had its headquarters on Arrandi street, to later move its headquarters to Manuel Gómez street, currently General Meetings and, during the Republic, Pablo Churches.

According to Mikel Aizpurua, the Barakaldo communist group organized “two groups of the International Red Aid: Dimitroff (in Barakaldo) and Clara Zetkin (in Retuerto)” (vol I., p.174).
