Shelter next to La Robla station in Luchana

Description of events

Date : –
Address :  C / Zumalakarregui, on the land occupied by the Usoa Lantegia Workshop

About a refuge excavated similar to the previous ones, Ibáñez also gives news, which he says is located in Luchana “in front of the Robla station” (p.102).

On it we keep a letter dated November 27, 1936 from the Deputy Director of the Compañía de los Ferrocarriles de la Robla addressed to the mayor of Barakaldo that says the following:

“We are pleased to tell you, in response to your attentive communication of the 25th of the current month, that this company agrees that the work to which it refers, related to the construction of a shelter against aerial bombardments ”.

The shelter is currently located on Zumalakárregui street, on the land occupied by the Usoa Lantegia Workshop and, therefore, in front of the Robla station in Luchana. According to Ibáñez the shelter is blinded.
