According to the historian Koldobika López, the Colegio de Arteagabeitia, located on Astarloa street, was used as a blood hospital during the Civil War.
Although the current school is from a later period, the first was built at the beginning of the 20th century, like that of Nuestra Señora del Carmen or that of Juan Ignacio Gorostiza.
